When you’re making plans for a vacation, the biggest concern is what to do with your dog while you’re away.

You can hire a dog sitter, or if a friend is looking after your dog, get dog day care, or take your dog to a kennel.

If your dog isn’t used to other dogs however, a kennel can create stress, and he may become run down and unwell.

Here’s a good idea - Referrals take stress out of finding pet sitter suggests: “Before you opt for a professional pet sitter, make sure you’ve asked all your friends, relatives and local experts. Friends with animals are in the same situation as you, so consider working out a trade. They can watch your pets, and you can watch theirs.”

Leaving your dog with a friend - especially if the friend has a dog which your dog knows - is a great solution. You can relax, knowing that your dog is among friends while you’re on your vacation.
