Here’s a lovely story about “hearing” dogs which are helping deaf children.

How ‘hearing’ dogs help deaf children get more out of life

“‘Many deaf children sleep very poorly - when they take their hearing aids out at night, they feel cut off from the world. The children on this scheme are sleeping better because they feel safer with their dog in their bedroom. This means they’re less tired and their behaviour is much improved.

‘Everyone taking part is reporting back that their children are altogether more confident and happier. It’s wonderful news.’ “
