Indestructible Dog Beds - for dogs with chewing problems

Got a dog who’s a destroyer? Some dogs chew everything within reach: their toys, beds, your shoes, anything you leave on the floor, even furniture, so you need an indestructible dog bed.

Is your dog bored? Bored dogs are destructive

Before you shop for a new dog bed, consider your dog’s behavior. Some dogs destroy because they’re bored, others destroy because they need obedience training. Your dog is a pack animal. If he has the proper respect for you as the leader of his pack he’ll no more destroy what belongs to you than he’d fly to the moon.

If you’re not sure why he chews (and he’s older than 12 months and has stopped teething), take him to the vet to take about solutions to his behavioral problems.

Indestructible dog beds: materials
Most chew-happy dogs like to chew on the same things, like plastic and leather, which is the reason that our shoes often become their toys. However, if you know your dog well you know that each dog has a personality and that each dog has something that he would rather be chewing on. Some will leave certain materials alone, and others will eat these materials to no end.

Because of both of these reasons, finding indestructible dog beds has a lot to do with what your dog will and will not destroy. First of all, take inventory of his toys and see what toys he has destroyed and which ones have been left alone.

Some manufacturers produce “indestructible dog beds”. Kuranda dog beds for example, are marketed as dog-proof.

Nylon dog beds are also often sold for chewing dogs, as are aluminum-framed dog beds with nylon covers - if the cover does get ripped, it’s replaceable.
